About Project

 

Project Overview – Originally constructed in 1979, the site is adjacent to the Foyle estuary. The Culmore WwTW population equivalent is approximately 150,000. The works has a Dry Weather Flow (DWF) of 305 l/s and a Full Flow to Treatment (FFT) of 810 l/s. The site consists of an Inlet Works, 4Nr. Primary Settlement Tank, Interstage Pumping Station, 6Nr. Aeration Lanes, 6Nr. Final Settlement Tanks, RAS Pumping Station, 2NR. SAS Storage Tanks, Sludge Facility and has an outfall to the Foyle River.

Our Approach & Solution​

Deane Public Works, alongside NI Water completed Base Maintenance Contract works to ensure continued compliance with the Water Order Consent Works at 8 WwTW’s. One of the project locations was at Culmore WwTW. Culmore serves the population and local industry in the City of Derry area.
