This complex project situated at Omagh, County Tyrone consisted of the construction of a new road running between the south end of the existing OmaghThrough pass and a new junction on the A5 Dublin Road including construction of a Road Bridge structure and a River Bridge structure.
The A5 serves as one of the five Key Transport Corridors and the main communications artery for a significant population; Omagh Throughpass Stage III was an important and integral part of the overall upgrading of this route.
The purpose of the scheme was to alleviate traffic congestion on the Southern and Eastern approaches to Omagh Town and to allow through traffic unrestricted passage through Omagh Town.
Deane Public Works are proud to have constructed a scheme that has transformed the road users journeys both through and around Omagh town centre and made for considerably enhanced driving experiences.
