At Deane Public Works, we're looking for an ambitious Graduate Civil Engineer who is eager to learn, develop their technical skills and build a long-term career within the civil engineering and infrastructure sector.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and expanding company delivering a variety of public and private sector projects throughout Northern Ireland. You'll gain real-world experience from day one, working alongside experienced engineers, site managers and project teams on projects that make a visible impact on local communities.
As part of our engineering team, you'll be involved in all stages of project delivery, from planning and design support through to site execution and project completion. You'll develop practical knowledge of construction methods, surveying, setting out, quality control, health and safety, and contract administration while working towards professional development and chartership goals.
The Role
Assist in the planning, coordination and delivery of civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
Support site engineers and project managers with setting out, surveying and site measurements.
Monitor project progress, quality standards and compliance with specifications.
Prepare and maintain site records, reports and project documentation.
Liaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and design teams.
Assist with health, safety, environmental and quality management processes.
Support the implementation of innovative and sustainable construction solutions.
Attend site visits and work across various project locations as required.
The Person
Degree in Civil Engineering (BEng or MEng).
Full UK driving licence.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Enthusiastic, motivated and willing to learn.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
A genuine interest in civil engineering, infrastructure and construction projects.
